Call a Lesbian

     One of my dear friends from seminary used to say (and probably she still says it), “If you want something done, and done right, call a lesbian.”

     That’s what they have done in Iceland. The new prime minister of that small island nation is Johanna Sigurdardottir (picture above), a veteran politician and government minister, who is partnered with Jonina Leosdottir.

     You may remember that Iceland’s economy completely collapsed as part of the global meltdown. They are in deep trouble.

     Time to call in the lesbian.

     According to press reports, it is no big deal to Icelanders. They know the new PM as a leader, and they just want her to succeed.
